Item Master – Planning

Item planning contains information about the plan method, production nature and other production related details. im-plan Fields & its description:
  • Plan Method
Select the plan method for the item which maybe: MRP          -    Based on Material Requirements Planning method. Min/Max -   Based on minimum or maximum stock. ROL            -   Reorder level where inventory level at which a company would place a new order.
  • MRP Method
If your plan method is MRP then specify the MRP method in this field.   There are three classifications: MPS - Master Production Schedule DRP - Distribution Resource Planning MRP - Material Requirements Planning The plans maybe single or a combination, so select the option that most suits your organization.
  • Make or Buy
Select if the item is manufactured or bought.
  • Production Nature
  • Safety Method
If your choice is quantity then it means the safety method is immediate, Days if grace days are allowed for minimum stock kept in waiting.
  • Safety Level
Enter the safety level of the item.
  • Planner
Select the planner name of the item in this field.
  • Plan Group
The item must belong to a specific manufacturing plan group. E.g. Sheets Group, Cubicles Group, etc. Lead Time Lead time is the time interval it takes from initiation to execution of the manufacturing of a product.
