What Is the difference between the fields “Type & Parent”?

Type- Refers to the type of the task (child task) which we are going to create and the Type is selected from the picklist which contains the following list.

• Milestone
• Heading
• Work
• Task

The above list is called the hierarchy of tasks used in any Project Management.

Parent – Refers to the Parent task for the task type selected in the field Task. 

Relation between the fields “Type &  Parent “: 

Based on the task type selected in the Task field the respective Parent tasks will get loaded in the Parent field.
