The Planning Workbench is a working environment for stock planners. Planner Workbench helps companies release the demands to the Production department as a work order.

Navigation Path: Planning>Transaction>Planner Workbench

1. Follow the above steps to open the ‘Planner Workbench’ screen.

2. Select the filter option to load the details in the grid.

3. Select the MPS radio button from the ‘Type’ field.

4. Choose the already created ‘Master Schedule’, ’MRP’ and ‘MRP Run’ from the respective drop-down menu.

5. After selecting the filter, click apply which results in the list of items that can be converted to a Work order.

6. Select the item in the row and click the more button at end of the row.

7. Once clicked the detailed screen opens. Select the format in which the item is to be released from the ‘Release As’ drop-down menu.

8. Select the BizTransaction for work order creation.

9. Enter the quantity to be manufactured in the ‘Quantity’ field and change the ‘Plan Status’ from Unreleased to Released and save the Work Order.

10. Now the status screen will display Status as ‘R’ denoting that the Work order is released only if the whole quantity is released. Within this 4 options will be available: Release, Unreleased, Hold and To be released.

11. If needed on the Main screen multiple work orders can be updated simultaneously with options such as 1. Release all Unreleased 2. Release all To Be Released and 3. Release Selected
12. To ensure the already created Work Order is valid, use the following Navigation Path: Production>Transaction>Workorder>Workorder
