- Date: Specify the date of the shift pattern.
- Pattern: Type any pattern name of your choice to indicate a shift pattern for the employees.
- Type: The shift pattern must have a type which can be: full working day, half working, weekly off, or others based on your requirement.

- Clicking on the Filter button is an effective way of selecting employees based on several filters like Department, Staff Type, Name, etc. You can apply any filter based on your requirement.
The row will show the tabs to enter and change that particular employee to the applicable shift pattern.
Steps for the process
- Select the employee code - EmpCode
- Employee Automatically appears when selecting the EmpCode
- Date - Needs to be selected
- Pattern - As we know the pattern types according to the pattern the employee will be allocated.
- On selecting any of the patterns, another screen appears to choose the description against the pattern below pic will help us to understand
While selecting the pattern for the employee. The pattern can be of any type based on the employee type. If the employee is in Administration or Management, the employee will be under General shift and fixed one, with no rotation. Likewise, for each shift, the pattern is designated in the Employee Shift Pattern.
As per the pattern, this screen appears, in the department can choose according to the description, (i.e.) what shift the employee has been scheduled to. We must be well aware of the Pattern types which we discussed in #Shift Pattern.
Employee Filter
This filter option is used when a group of employees needs to be scheduled under a Reporting person. In the above field, we discussed adding individual employees. We can add a group of employees who are already grouped under a reporting head on this screen.
The sample above helps us understand that the group of employees for the marketing department will be reporting to Mr, Gokul Krishnan.
How are the employees added under the Marketing department?
While creating the fields for the new employees or the employees who are already working in the department can be added in the #EMPLOYEE MASTER. When adding itself it will be made the Marketing Department list, so it's easy to schedule the employees in the Employee Filter criteria.

To remind you, the departments are mentioned in the drop-down for sample, this can be further added as per Organization. Accordingly, each type has a drop-down to select the type.
