Employee Shift Pattern

Employee Shifts pattern is allocated in this screen. The Shift pattern as we discussed, is fixed for each employee on this screen.  Employee shift pattern screen is mainly for associating an employee to a shift. This curtails any confusion regarding which employee belongs to which pattern or type of shift and so on. Path: HRMS> Master> Attendance Setting> Employee Shift Pattern
  1. Date: Specify the date of the shift pattern.
  2. Pattern: Type any pattern name of your choice to indicate a shift pattern for the employees.
  3. Type: The shift pattern must have a type which can be: full working day, half working, weekly off, or others based on your requirement.
  4. Number & Sl. no:
  5. Clicking on the Filter button is an effective way of selecting employees based on several filters like Department, Staff Type, Name, etc. You can apply any filter based on your requirement.
For example: if you want to display all the employees only from the accounts department, select as such. To be more precise you can add another field by choosing Location. Now you have filtered employees from the selected location and department. A nifty way to avoid filling all the particulars in the table is by clicking on the Fill Default Values. This generates entries based on the above. All regarding the shift settings are working in this screen as per the departments in the organization. So the shift patterns are segregated through the filter to prioritize as we can see in the picture below.  To add a new employee in the shift pattern, it has to be processed on this screen. The new employee's actual details will be added in the Employee Master screen, where the employee code gets generated, after that the shift pattern and the type will be done here.  When a department needs to allocate an employee to any particular Shift pattern, we need to click on the  The row will show the tabs to enter and change that particular employee to the applicable shift pattern.  Steps for the process
  1. Select the employee code - EmpCode
  2. Employee Automatically appears when selecting the EmpCode
  3. Date - Needs to be selected
  4. Pattern - As we know the pattern types according to the pattern the employee will be allocated. 
  5. On selecting any of the patterns, another screen appears to choose the description against the pattern below pic will help us to understand 
While selecting the pattern for the employee. The pattern can be of any type based on the employee type. If the employee is in Administration or Management, the employee will be under General shift and fixed one, with no rotation. Likewise, for each shift, the pattern is designated in the Employee Shift Pattern. As per the pattern, this screen appears, in the department can choose according to the description, (i.e.) what shift the employee has been scheduled to. We must be well aware of the Pattern types which we discussed in #Shift Pattern.  Employee Filter  This filter option is used when a group of employees needs to be scheduled under a Reporting person. In the above field, we discussed adding individual employees. We can add a group of employees who are already grouped under a reporting head on this screen.  The sample above helps us understand that the group of employees for the marketing department will be reporting to Mr, Gokul Krishnan.  How are the employees added under the Marketing department? While creating the fields for the new employees or the employees who are already working in the department can be added in the #EMPLOYEE MASTER. When adding itself it will be made the Marketing Department list, so it's easy to schedule the employees in the Employee Filter criteria.  Note: Do check the Employee Master for more information. A complete illustration video is available To remind you, the departments are mentioned in the drop-down for sample, this can be further added as per Organization. Accordingly, each type has a drop-down to select the type.
