Checking setting is a useful feature when you require restrictions and warnings to be applied in any screen. Restrictions such as not allowing cash transactions above a certain value to certain users or the credit limit has been exceeded. Warning that a transaction cannot proceed because the party is blocked.
Fields & its description:
Select the module where you want the checking setting to be applied.
The screen belongs to either the Master or Transaction menu. Specify this here.
If you selected Master, then select the required Entity for which the checking setting is to be applied.
If your choice is Transaction, then specify the Class and Biz transaction type of the necessary screen.
There is also a table where several tabular fields are to be filled.
Several checking settings are already created in GoodBooks. According to your requirements, select the respective setting.
There are four types:
No Check - There maybe scenarios where a setting is applied to a screen and you may need to allow access temporarily. In that case, select No Check so that the particular setting gets reverted.
Warning - Warnings are used to inform the users that this action is critical but allows them to save.
Error - Select this type if you do not want the user to save that setting. An error will also be displayed.
Authorize - This will stall the operation and asks the user for password. If it is authorized, only then can the user proceed.
The role and user should be specified so that these settings can be applied.
