Checking Setting

Checking setting is a useful feature when you require restrictions and warnings to be applied in any screen. Restrictions such as not allowing cash transactions above a certain value to certain users or the credit limit has been exceeded. Warning that a transaction cannot proceed because the party is blocked. chkset Fields & its description:
  • Module
Select the module where you want the checking setting to be applied.
  • Type
The screen belongs to either the Master or Transaction menu. Specify this here. If you selected Master, then select the required Entity for which the checking setting is to be applied. If your choice is Transaction, then specify the Class and Biz transaction type of the necessary screen. There is also a table where several tabular fields are to be filled.
  • Checking
Several checking settings are already created in GoodBooks. According to your requirements, select the respective setting.
  • Type
There are four types: No Check - There maybe scenarios where a setting is applied to a screen and you may need to allow access temporarily. In that case, select No Check so that the particular setting gets reverted. Warning - Warnings are used to inform the users that this action is critical but allows them to save. Error - Select this type if you do not want the user to save that setting. An error will also be displayed. Authorize - This will stall the operation and asks the user for password. If it is authorized, only then can the user proceed.
  • Role & User
The role and user should be specified so that these settings can be applied. Saving and deleting the entries: After entering your values, click on the save button below to save all the details. Edit the saved details by clicking on the update button after selecting the entry. Similarly delete any entry by choosing the entry and then click on the delete button. Click on del button to delete only the rows. This is applicable to all the other screens as well.
