Bill of Material (BOM) refers to the details of materials that are required to produce a product. GoodBooks BOM supports powerful options to specify and manage various types of requirements.
BOM is used in various areas of the software. The details are used in Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Costing, Material Indenting, Work order generation Routing etc.
GoodBooks BOM has the following features and advanced options.
- Master BOM and Custom BOM
Goodbooks supports both standard BOM where the list of materials required to produce an item are standard or varying in design to order environments.
Product BOM changing over a period of time or material combination
BOM which may have materials and quantity that may vary may be marked such
BOM material requirements may be given in multiple stages to enable tracking of issue etc on stage basis or overall
GoodBooks supports multiple level Phantom BOM (also called as Template BOM).
- BOM with By-product/Scrap
BOM can be created with details of by-product or scrap, if any .
