Deleted: This option supports the standard Bill-of-Material concept for manufactured items. This is used for Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and to arrive at the Material Cost of an item. GoodBooks also supports calculation and updating of Consumption of materials based on production and BOM.
Deleted: Bill of Material Creation
Deleted: To create BOM Master, the Item to be produced has to be specified first, which can be selected from Item select list. Then the Quantity of the Item to be produced should be entered. In the lower grid, Select/Enter the items which are necessary to produce the above said item along with the process and quantity. BOM has a fixed list of Material Types including Input - Raw Material, Input - Accessories, etc Excess quantity is the Wastage/excess quantity that is included in the item quantity itself. Stage and Placement are used to mention the order of the items based on the requirement stage and the location of the item respectively. The user can select suitable Material Type based on the requirements. This is used in Material Requirement Planning (MRP).
