In the Routing entry, the following details are entered for each process.  This a grid entry with details entered from 1 to n number of processes.

Sl.No

Serial number of the line in the grid. Auto generated

Stage

Stage name of the  process.  This stage is used in BOM master also so that, materials required can be issued as per the stage level.

 

Step

Step number within stage,if any

Location Type

Type of location where the process is planned.

Inhouse/Subcontract.

Process

Name of the process.

Work Center

Name of the work center where the process is planned

Applicable only for In house.

Party

Name of the subcontractor , who will be doing the process.

Applicable only for Subcontract

Branch

Name of the subcontractor branch location

Time UOM

The unit of measuring the Setup Time and Cycle Time.

Available options are Seconds, Minutes, Hours,Days,Weeks.

 

Default option is Minutes

Preprocessing Lead Days  (in Days)

Number of days to start processing an order.  This is the period that may elapse from the time an order is released and the work is started.

 

This time is not part of production process time.  However this is specified to arrive at planned order release date during MRP run.

 

Lot Size/Batch Qty

Lot or batch size is the number of quantity that will be processed in a single batch/lot

Set up Time

Time required to do the setting up.  This time is fixed for the Lot Size/ Batch Quantity.

 

The time has to be entered in Time UOM mentioned above.  (default minutes)

Cycle Time

Time required to process one cycle of producion .

 

The time has to be entered in Time UOM mentioned above.  (default minutes)

Variable Quantity

In some scenario, one cycle will produce more than one quanity. (Default value is 1)

 To arrive at Cycle time for one quantity , this field is entered.

 

Cycle Time / Qty   =  Cycle Time/ Variable Quantity

 

 

Post processing Lead Days  (in Days)

Number of days to required to complete the order after production.  This is the period that may elapse from the time an order is produced  and the material is released.

 

This time is not part of production process time.  However this is specified to arrive at planned order release date during MRP run.

Process Lead Time

(Calculated)

This is a calculated information, representing the

Total clock Time required  for processing 1 Qty

 

Process Lead time = Setup Time + Cycle Time

 

 

Manufaturing Lead Time

(Calculated)

This is a calculated information, representing the

Avg Time required  for processing 1 Qty

 

Mfr.Lead Time   =

(Setup Time /Batch Size)  + (Cycle time/Variable Qty)

Rate Type

The rate and charges for the processing  may be calculated in multiple mode.  Goodbooks supports the following options viz.,

Fixed

Input Qty Based

Output Qty Based

Depending on the nature of item and process, required type can be selected.

Std. Rate

Standard Rate for the process.

Rate/UOM

Unit of measurement for the Rate.

Output SKU

The code/name of  Item Stock Keeping  Unit (SKU) that is the output for the process.

Operation

Details of Operation.  Goodbooks provides tracking of process in minor operation level also.  If there is requirement to track and monitor the production in individual operation level, we can use this option.
