Task

Create, edit and save task transactions using the Task screen. Here, you are able view other employee's and your tasks based on your rights. task Initially you will view a list of tasks created either by you or to you by respective personnel. Filter the tasks by clicking on Task to me (Assignee) which will lists tasks created for you and Task by me, showing tasks created by you (Incharge). To have a comprehensive filter, click on the filter button
  1. Creating New Tasks: In order to create new tasks, click on the add  button. Now a new screen opens like the screenshot below.

  1. Date: Specify the date when the task is planned for. By default this displays today's date.
  2. Name: Type the name of the task to be created. You can enter more details about the task in the description column.
  3. Nature: Choose the nature of the task from the list of options. This is usually Call or Work, based on your requirements.
  4. Type: Type is the hierarchical structure flowing from Milestone to Task. Create tasks in a correct flow so that tracking and planning for them is easier.
  5. Parent: This is related to the type you have created. If your task has a parent ( provided you have already created one), then it will be listed here. Select none if your task is a parent in itself (highest hierarchy). After creating and using up tasks you can check the pending hours shown next to parent field.
  6. Requester: The employee responsible for monitoring this task must be selected here.
  7. In charge: Choose the employee who is in charge of this task here.
  8. Activity: Select an activity under which this task applies in this field.
  9. Allocation: Allocation is the target for which this task is allocated.
  10. Assigned To: In this field, you must specify the entity for which this task is assigned. This may be a single person or a whole group. E.g. If this is a temporary employee on a contract basis, select Contract.
  11. Plan: In the plan section, you must specify the time planned for this task. Information like days, hours, expiry time, etc can be entered here. Even dates can be specified here where dates for start, end, due and expiry can be specified. Make sure the dates are entered correctly in order or else you may face errors while saving.
  12. Actual section cannot be edited and this is for reference regarding the progress of the tasks. In addition to this, you can also check on the logs for this task by clicking on details button present next to date field.
Under Extra Details, you are able to update the status of the task. After entering details of your task you can send this task to the respective authority by checking Approval and clicking the save or update button, these details will be sent. If you don't want to send for approval yet then don't check this field.
