Support Databases

Support databases screen can either add, detach or completely drop databases on the existing server. It is preferred if there are multiple instances especially when you're dealing with a variety of data. These instances require a support database for performing its operation. supdb2 Fields & description:
  • Select Server
The current server will be displayed in this field. The support database is manipulated under this server.
  • Instance
Enter the name of the instance that is related to this support database. E.g. USCIMPSYS
  • Install from location
Browse to the location path where the installation file (.bak) is available for installation.
  • Database
This is the primary database for which this instance is created. Select the relevant one from the given list of databases. Click on the Add button only if you are creating a new support database by installation. Select Detach in order to remove the current database. Drop button must be clicked when you want to permanently remove the database.
