Resource assigning lets you allocate resources to the person in charge with information such as the status of the work order and type of resource to be assigned. This screen also has information about the routing process related to the work order.
Fields & its description:
Location type can be either Inhouse or Subcontract based on where the Work order is processed.
Indicate the status of the work order here. The foremost option present is Pending which is selected prior to Planned. After the planning is complete, the option Ready to release can be used. Likewise this work order can be also noted as Released as soon as it is launched and completed as soon as it is done.
Choose a resource type for the work order based on its assignment status.
The person in charge of this work order can be selected here. This is the resource assignment part. If assigning is not finalized, then leave this field empty.
Specify the particular work order to be assigned by selecting its number.
When you specify this field, resource details with the particular work order and routing information is generated below along with a grid. The fields generated below is for reference only (details retrieved from work order) and cannot be edited. However the grid and some fields can be changed.
The release status of the work order should be chosen here. The options are similar to the work order status you have selected earlier. Work order status may not necessarily be the same as the release status so the fields provided separately.
Click on the Update Release Status button if only the release status has to be updated without resource assigning info. This is particularly useful when all the planning is done but the assigning process is not finalized.
There is also a grid listing information relating to bill of resources.
