Code define of the organization menu helps you to define every entity and the way it behaves. Attributes like the size of the code, its prefix, suffix, etc., can be specified by using this screen. E.g. If an entry should be automatically generated or an entry should always have some prefix defined by you can be specified here.
Fields & its description:
- Module
Select the module that you want to edit in this field. The pick list lists all the module used by your organization.
- Entity
Entities according to the module you had selected before will be listed. Select the entity that is to be defined.
- Type
There are two types in this field, single and multiple category. Single category can be used if the entity has only one field. If there are multiple fields in the entity then choose multiple category. After specifying the type, provisions will be made for you to define the field(s).
- Generation Type
In this field, enter the generation type which can be auto, manual, formula or hidden. If auto is selected then the field shall be generated automatically where the user may not need to type any value for that field. For manual, the user has to type the entry on their own.
- Category Code & Name
Enter the code and name of the category in this field.
- Code Size
Here, the size of the entry has to be defined. Enter any numeric value to indicate the size.
- Prefix
If any prefixes are to be entered then specify it here. E.g. If the field you want to define has to have the number 001 for all its values then enter as such in the prefix field.
- Suffix
This is similar to prefix but instead at the start, the suffix is displayed at the end of the entry.
- Starting & Ending
Starting and ending indicates the first and last value that is allowed in an entry. E.g. If 1 and 1000 are those values respectively then the entry has only that range.
- Last number
This is the last allowed number of the entry.

- Click on save after completing.

- Select the field you want to edit and modify it.

- To delete the whole entry, choose the entity you want to delete.
