Lead

Lead i.e. sales lead is the platform through which prospective clients can be acquired. Growing businesses require a solid lead and the lead screen will provide you with the necessary information to manage both likely and unlikely leads. Fields & its description:
  • Code/Name
Enter any code and its respective name for the lead.
  • Date
Specify the date of creation of the lead.
  • Ref No/Date
This is the reference number of the lead along with its reference date. Reference entries are useful as they help determine the source.
  • Details
Enter the details regarding the lead in this field. This should include useful information that is not covered by the rest of the fields. Client
  • Type
The client maybe a Party or just a Contact. Select the one that is most suitable here. Based on your selection the following fields will be enabled and disabled.
  • Party
If your choice is party then the Contact field is disabled. You must specify the party in this field.
  • Branch
This field is also enabled where you must enter the branch to which the party belongs.
  • Contact
If the Type you chose was contact then party and branch will be disabled. Select the contact name here. Lead Details
  • Category
Select the lead category to which this lead belongs.
  • Cycle
Specify the name of the lead cycle for this lead.
  • Incharge
This refers to the employee responsible for this lead.
  • Priority
Select the priority regarding the lead. This is useful for prioritizing when there are multiple leads.
  •  Status
If the lead is still under consideration, choose open, otherwise closed.
  • Success
Choose a status that describes the lead's success. If the lead is ongoing then select progress. Won or lost, should there be a confirmed result of the lead. Hold, if the lead is stalled and is on hold. Drop, if the lead is dropped sans result.   There is an additional four sections regarding lead:
  1. Status
  2. Lead Source
  3. Add On
  4. Product
