SUB-CATEGORY

This option is used to create Item Sub Categories. This may be considered as one below the Item Category – hierarchically.

Item Sub Category is basically one or more of the many Items that will be characterised by a Common property of that Item Category.

Example : An automobile dealer can choose to have 800CC cars as a Sub Category which will be classified under the Category called

Passenger Cars

Choose the Item Category, under which you want to create one or more Sub-categories.

Please enter the code for the Sub-Category.    This can be automatically created or manually entered as per the setting in Admin module.

To select an existing value, start typing few characters in the box or click in the list icon next to the field

Please enter a meaningful description for the Sub-Category that is coded now in the Name field.

Once done, you can enter comments in the remarks field that can help you give insight about that Sub-Category

Please press SAVE button once you are sure of the entries done. Or You may clear or cancel to erase your entries in that form.

You can Select or UnSelect a Sub Category so that it can be included OR excluded in information / reporting;

Multiple sub categories can also be created for a single Category for further division of stored items.
i.e., Active check box should be selected if the sub category needs to be active.

Sub category codes which are used in the item creation can not be deleted.
