Item OU – Specifications

Specifications im-spec Fields & its description:
  • Type
The type can be indicated as Item or Template of an item. Select Template if the item is a prototype and this option usually indicates that it is not for sale.
  • Additional Specifications
Select any additional specification if there are entries created for this, related to the item. There is a Details button that allows you to add extra information about the specification.
  • Introduced Date
Specify the date when the item was first introduced.
  • Item Revised
If this is a revised item where changes have been made to its specifications then select Yes or else No.
  • Revised From/To
This is the period when the item revision is valid. The revision start date is entered in Revised From and its end is noted in Revised To date.
  • Height/Weight
Enter the height and weight of the item in millimeters (mm) and kilograms (kg) respectively.
  • Length, Breadth and Thickness are the other dimensions that can be specified about the item. Enter all the values in mm.
  • Variable Size Item
If this item is subject to variations in size and it does not maintain a standard dimension then select Yes.
  •  Drawing No.
This is a reference to the document containing a visual representation of the item.
  • Catalogue No.
Specify the catalogue to which this item belongs.
  • BOM Type
Bill of material of this item can be of any type. Select a type from the given options. Standard                              –          Relates to manufactured BOM type. Non Standard                     –           In case of variable materials used. Standard Process Wise     –           Indicates standard process wise specification of BOM. Raw Material                      –           Similar to BOM of a BOM (meta). Nesting Plan                        –           If this BOM is a split type specification, then select this type.
  • Raw Material Item
If Raw Material was your BOM type then enter the name of the raw material used for the item.
  • Raw Material SKU
Specify the raw material SKU of the item here.
  • Quantity
The quantity used to create the item can be mentioned.
  • Material Group
The item must belong to a specific material group from which it is manufactured. Enter the material group.
  •  Nesting Plan
Select the nesting plan used by the item to reduce wastage.
  • Primary Routing
Primary routing refers to the sequence of processes, select the routing type used for this item.
