Instrument refers to the method used for making transactions. Instrument master is used to handle instruments of monetary transactions.
Fields & its description:
Enter the name of the instrument in this field.
The instrument has a type and this can be specified in this field. E.g. Cash, cheque, DD, etc.
This is used to indicate when the account has to be posted. From the given options, select immediate if the posting is done immediately, on deposit as soon as its deposited and on realization when the transaction has materialized.
Post dated is applicable when the instrument is activated only at an advance date. Select from the given options based on your requirements.
Enter the number of days this instrument is valid before it is void.
By default, the instrument status should be pending unless the transaction has been completed (realization).
You can also specify the mode of transaction applicable for this instrument:
Bank Transaction Applicable - If this instrument supports bank transactions to take place.
Counter Transaction Applicable - If this instrument allows over the counter transactions.
