Ice Map

Ice Map is used for exporting and importing data from GoodBooks into other file formats for reference. Retrieving information in the form of reports is possible through ice map. ice iceb   Fields & its description:
  • Code & Name
Type any code and a corresponding name to identify the ice map.
  • Entity
Select the required entity (table) for which ice mapping is necessary.
  • Ice Source Type
From the given list, choose the file format of the source file.
  • Source File Name
Type the name of the source file.
  • Source Sheet Name
Enter the name of the sheet within the source file. There are also several fields in the form of columns in the table below.
  • Destination Member
Destination member refers to the specific field in GB. This is used for matching the field with its value present in the source file. It is also possible to put add on fields.
  • Source Field Value
Match the field in GB with that of the value (column field) in the source file so there is similarity in both the platforms. E.g. In Monthly Attendance screen, there is a field called Pay Period ID and this field should be matched with its respective source that represents pay period ID in the Excel sheet.
  • Value Type
There are several value types, each with its own functions. Currently, not all the fields all available. Source Value indicates that the value used in GB is the same as that of the source. Code To Id retrieves the code from the source file to be displayed as ID in GB. Name To Id retrieves the name from the source file to be displayed as ID in GB. Auto Number Assigning simply assigns random unique numbers to new entries.
  • Entity
Based on your previous entries select the required entity in this field.
  • Add on Value
In the add on value field, select the appropriate add on field name.
  •  Filter Field
Checking a single filter
