Heat

Heat transaction screen records the melting operations where a measured input of raw materials is heated to output its molten state.  So the particulars that bring about this transaction like temperature, time, various weights, etc can be noted.

Fields & its description:

  • BIZTransaction Type

This field indicates the type of transaction. This is usually generated automatically or it is based on your settings.

  • Store

Select the particular store for which the heat operation is to take place. E.g. Consumables store E3.

  • Number & Date

Based on your configuration, this is generated automatically or manually. If manual, then enter a unique number or select the date for this transaction process.

  • RM Grade

Refers to raw material grade. This the grade of raw materials used for the heating process.

  • From/To Time

This is the time taken for the heat process. Enter the process starting and ending time.

  • Operator

If you want to note the employee responsible for this process, select that employee here.

  • Pour Weight

This is the final pouring weight (post-heating) from the material used for the heating process.

  • Material Weight

The sum of the total weight of all the materials used for the heating.

  • Remnant Weight

This is the remaining weight of the materials. This is leftover from the heat process.

  • Tapping temperature

Temperature will vary in the duration between the initial state to pouring state. Hence tapping temperature is the right temperature to be tapped (used) so that its temperature is at the right level just before usage.

  • Melting Loss

The loss in material after the heating process is completed is called melting loss. This is used to calculate the Loss %. This is the representative formula:

Melting Loss = Material Weight – (Pour weight + Remnant weight)

  • Loss %

This is calculated from the melting loss which lets you know about the loss in heating in percentage.

Formula:

Loss % = (Melting Loss/Material Weight) * 100.

  • Units Consumed

This is the total electrical units consumed for the process to take place.

  • Spectrum No.

This is the number of the machine/source identifying the units consumed.

Click on Checklist to set and check the parameters for this process.

In the first grid, you can add each heating process by clicking on the Add Row button. Details of each melt weight, operator, initial and final temperature can also be entered.

In the next grid, each row provides details about the item used. This is in the form of the item’s code, name and SKU details. Specify the weight used in the process.
