Forecast Set

A forecast cannot be created without a Forecast Set. Typically, a forecast is used to predict sales volumes (by product/item, date/period, and quantity). Forecasts are used as input in supply chain planning so that supply can meet demand.

Navigation Path: Planning>Master>Forecast

  1. Follow the above steps to open the ‘Forecast Set’ screen.
  1. Select the ‘Code’ of the ‘Forecast Set’ to be created.
  1. Enter the ‘Name’ of the ‘Forecast Set’ desired to be created or it is automatically selected when the ‘Code’ is entered in the previous field.
  1. Choose whether to use ‘Forecast Consume’.
    1. If enabled, the forecast set considers both the Forecast quantity and Sale order quantity (Eg. FQ=20, SOQ=10 Total =20).
    2. If disabled, the forecast set considers both the Forecast quantity and Sale order quantity as separate quantities (Eg. FQ=20, SOQ=10 Total =30).
  1. Choose ‘Period Type’ from the drop-down list.
    1. Day: When selected, the total quality will be split into Daywise production.
    2. Week: When selected, the total quality will be split into Weekly production.
    3. Month: When selected, the total quality will be split into Monthly production.
  1. Choose ‘Level’ from the drop-down list.
    1. Item: Currently only ‘Item’ selection is available.
    2. Customer Item: Featured
    3. Allocation Item: Featured
    4. Task Item: Featured
  1. Select the ‘Forecast Incharge’ from the drop-down list. Forecast Incharge help allocate an employee the responsibility of overlooking the Forecast created.
  1. Foreword Days: Featured
  1. Max% Per Document: Featured.
  1. Backward Days: Featured
  1. Click ‘Save’ to create a new Forecast Set or ‘Update’ if modifications are made to the previously created Forecast Set.
