Bill of Material (BOM) Detail

The following are the Details in the BOM Detail section
Sl.No Serial number of the materials/items. Auto generated
Stage Some of the production process requires items in stage basis.  All the items may not be required at the initial stage itself.  By identifying at what stage the particular item is required in the production process, we can do much more effective planning.Select the stage in which the item is required. 
Type Normally the material details are entered in Item level.  (default)Goodbooks facilitates option to specify the details at a higher level like Category, Sub category and Group.     At the time of transaction, user can select the exact item belonging to that type.  Please note this option is useful for Generic KIT.
Item Code & Name and SKU Select the material used in the production.In the case of items having multiple stock keeping unit (SKU), user should select the required SKU.For material type specified as Category, Subcategory or group System will show the corresponding list of values.   Please note this option is useful for Generic KIT.
Req. Quantity Quantity of material required to produce the product (per unit of output).
Calc. Quantity Quantity of material required to produce the product  (for the required output qty).  This will be same as above ,if the planned production qty is 1.
Waste % Wastage ,if any , that may occur in the production process can be mentioned as % here.
Net.Reqd Quantity of material required including waste%. Auto calculated.
Adj.Qty Manual Addition or reduction of quantity, if any
Final Qty Actual quantity of material required. Auto calculated.
Nature The classification material during the process is specified.  Items marked under Input categories are used for requirement calculation and items marked under Output ,Scrap, By product are used as a norm.
