Asset

An asset is a resource that has economic value to a business. There are many type of asset like generator, building, vehicle etc There are three types of assets 1. Fixed assets: Those assets which will be used by the company for a long period of time. a) Tangible assets: those assets which we can see and touch and exp Land & Buildings, Plant &  Machinery,Furniture, fixtures and fittings b) Intangible assets: Those assets which we can't see and touch like Goodwill, Patents,  Copyrights, Trade Mark etc 2. Current assets: Those assets which can be easily converted into cash within one year like cash in hand, cash at  bank, Bills receivable, stock etc 3. Fictitious assets: It is not the actual assets , its the expenditure occurred at the tine of commencement of firm ( capital expenditure )like preliminary expenses, discount on issue on debenture/shares, underwriting commission etc Types of Assets ---- [[File:Assettype1.jpg]] [[File:Assettype2.jpg]] To add asset do the following Go to Master Data\Asset then click Asset submenu 1. Type code of the asset. 2. Type Name of the asset (Generator, Ups, Chiller Machine). 3. Choose in which branch this asset is located. 4. Choose the location of this asset like first floor, second floor. 5. Choose the asset type. 6. Choose the category of the asset. 7. Choose the subcategory of the asset. 8. Choose Model of the asset. 9. Choose Brand of the asset. 10.Choose supplier of the asset. 11.Choose Capacity of the asset. 12.Choose UOM of the asset. 13.Choose YOM of the asset. 14.Type Manufacturer Serial No. 15.Type Bill Date (dd/mmm/yyyy format). 16.Type Bill value of the asset. 17.Type current value of the asset. 18.Type or Choose the Purchase Date. 19.Type or choose the Installation Date. 20.Choose Service Provider. 21.Choose service type. 22.Type Service From Date. 23.Type Service To Date. 24. Check if it is Critical Asset. 25. Click the save button. The Fields in the form are Code,Name,Site,Location,Asset Type,Category,Sub Category,Model,Brand,Supplier,Capacity,Uom,Yom,Mfr.SlNo., Bill Date,Bill Value,Current Value, Purchase Date,Installation Date,Service Provider,Service Type,Service From Date,Service To Date, Is Critical Asset == Service Type == Under AMC Under Warranty
