Allocation refers to projects that are handled by your organization. Creating an allocation entry here would let you refer to this specific project throughout other screens. You can assign certain transactions, items under a project by specifying its allocation details.
Fields & its description:
- Allocation Type
Select the allocation type from the list of types created by you. If you haven’t created an allocation type, click here. Make sure that this allocation is relevant to the type.
- Name/Description/Short name
Enter the name for the new allocation along with a brief description here. Also type a short name corresponding to the allocation name.
- Under
This is usually specified as “None“. This indicates that the project is a standalone type, similar to a parent project. If this comes under a parent allocation then select it here.
- Date Range Applicable
If you check this option, you are indication that this project contains a period which you can specify in the from and to fields below.
- Incharge
You can also select the employee in charge of this project.
Check Is Capital Project if you need to denote that this is a project that deals with acquiring, developing, maintaining and improving capital assets.
- Organization Unit/Party
Mention the OU handling this project here. You can also select the target party for which this allocation is applicable.
- Status
The allocation must have a status to indicate its current state. Choose an option here.
