Opening Stock Entry

This is the Entry made by stores department to record the opening balances of inventory.

This is a one time entry. (?)

The physical stock is required to be maintained by the inventory department.

At the time of shifting to the new system, the stock values should be made available for proper functioning of the new system and also to give accurate data.

The user can enter the stock for each of the stores and branches as applicable. The item code is selected from the available list and the available quantity is entered. The average rate of the item is also entered as per the available data. If the item has serial wise stock, the individual serial numbers are to be entered at the time of entering opening stock.
The item selection is optional for chart code, category code, and group code and item type.
