Master Scheduling is the primary method for planning and scheduling production to support external demand. This tool allows for detailed entry of production forecasts and generates a Master Production Schedule by combining these forecasts with sales order demands.
Navigation Path: Planning>Master>Master Schedule
- Follow the above steps to open the ‘Master Scheduling’ screen.
- Enter the ‘Code’ of the Master Schedule.
- Enter the ‘Name’ of the Master Schedule desired to create or it is automatically selected when the ‘Code’ is entered in the previous field.
- Select the ‘Organization Type’ from the provided options:
- All: Applicable to all the OU (Organizational Unit) created by the user.
- Organization: Applicable to selected Organizations
- Organization Group: Applicable to Organization Group created by a user.
- Select the ATP ‘Include in ATP (Available to Promise)’ option if needed. ATP is a critical calculation that is used in supply chain management, manufacturing, and fulfilment to control the proportional distribution of products. (Featured)
- Select the ‘Auto Release’, if needed:
- Ticking the checkbox enables the to automatically release the demand order after MRP Run Process.
- Select the validity date for the current forecast of MRP created using the ‘Valid till date’ option.
- Click ‘Save’ to create the Master Schedule or ‘Update’ if modifications are made to the previously created Master Schedule.
