Item Template Part

Item template part creates a template which can be used for multiple items that follow the same attributes. This makes initial definition of item easier. To configure this screen please refer to Biztransaction type. itemtemp Fields & its description:
  • Code/Name
Enter a suitable code and name for the template to be created.
  • Parent
You are allowed to define parent and child templates if required. If the template you want to create is a parent, select None in this field. After saving your entry, this template will be displayed in the parent list for future usage.
  • Parameter Set
Select the parameter set related to this item template here.
  • UOM
The Unit of measurement used for measuring this template should be mentioned.
  • Calculation Method
Specify the calculation method used for the item template UOM calculations. This can be Excel or Formula based on your requirement.
  • Link Type
If a link type is allowed, specify the template link to either an Item or any Variant. This is in reference to the template related to its respective item or else a variant.
  • Type
The template you want to create could be a part, section, component, etc. Select the most suitable type based on your template definition.
  • Item
This appears only when your link type is Item. Select the item from the given list. Parameters Define the parameters for the template. You can select the parameter and specify its type which can be Fixed or Varying. Select a parameter input type such that you are able to include spreadsheet calculations also. You can even specify the name of the spreadsheet, cell number and text value.
