Overtime Settings Configuration
Goodbooks understands your overtime rules and allows you to configure different overtime rules for different groups of employees. The Organization unit level settings are processed as per the description of the organization, which relates to the overtime configuration. The briefing will help us understand more about the setting, The above sample illustration data is from a manufacturing sector, if their shift starts from 8:00 AM in the morning and Shift ends at 6:00 PM, with this we will understand the Overtime hours.- Overtime default to be set and start in any concern will be 25 minutes.
- Maximum minutes allocated will be set as per the organization's decision, but in this scenario, they have opted for 960 minutes that is 16 hours. The 960 minutes is fixed that should be maintained in a month. The OT hours policy allocated differs as per state-wise.
- They have segregated the minutes for males and females because most of the companies will not encourage female employees or workers to work after hours. So the time allotment for a Male is 1170 minutes that is 19.5 hours, and for females is 1140 which will be 19 hours, but it will be accountable for not more than 14 hours in a day.
- Odd and Even days on OT are also known as alternative allocated hours for males and females in the company.
- Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday are odd days. And even days are Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Based on this the Overtime hours are allocated.
